Keychain pocket watch – A must-have collectors’ item
The keychain pocket watch was once a very common element of the male attire. Men could be seen flipping their watches out of their waist coat pockets to check what the time was. As tastes changed in favor of wrist watches, pocket watches gradually went the way of the horse and buggy and the waistcoat and were discarded as “out of fashion”. Today, while pocket watches may no longer be considered useful, they are highly revered by collectors who consider them valuable collectibles and are willing to pay very high prices to acquire them.
These days if someone owns a keychain pocket watch, or is desirous of owning one, they are considered to have great taste, and it is truly only those who appreciate the finer things in life that harbor a desire to own a pocket watch. Long believed to be prohibitively expensive, the truth is that many of these watches may be obtained for very low prices. In fact an American pocket watch that goes back to the 19 th century can be yours for unbelievably low prices and the quality of the workmanship very easily matches what You Can find on most modern watches today. Many antique dealers and high-price watch manufacturers also over several kinds of keychain pocket watch for sale, but one will have to pay a very high price to obtain one of these, making them attractive for true collectors only. Several reputed watch manufacturers are now making the move towards offering pocket watches for sale and it is very sad that very few of them are making the move towards watch models.
There were some renowned watch manufacturers who were very well known for the model of
keychain pocket watch
that they sold, and no other company was able to match the quality for a very long time. However, with the passage of time, wrist watches gradually became increasingly popular and began to phase out pocket watches. This was further expedited by the Great Depression which reduced people’s spending power and manufacturers gradually began to discontinue the models they made available for sale.
There were some companies which continued the tradition of bringing out a keychain pocket watch at regular intervals, but at a much smaller scale than before. These have now become highly revered collectibles and many discerning collectors would be more than willing to pay through the nose to acquire these watches.

As the first superhero team title produced by Marvel Comics, it formed a cornerstone of the company’s 1960s rise from a small division of a publishing company to a pop-culture conglomerate. Beastie Boys Anthology: The Sounds of Science $45 From 1982’s Pollywog Stew to 1998’s Hello Nasty and this summer’s forthcoming To The Five Boroughs, Beastie Boys have pushed the boundaries of hip hop in six albums and countless EPs and B-sides. Beastie Boys have pushed, bent, and molded the boundaries of music and pop culture worldwide. Starting out as a punk band from New York City, they mutated into the first hip-hop act to hit number one on the pop charts, and then went back to live instrumentation, while always drawing on a wide array of musical sources-from funk to hardcore, from hip hop to Afro-Cuban jazz.Compiled by the band and and art directed by Adam Yauch (aka MCA), Beastie Boys Anthology takes you on a ride through the lives of the three MCs-MCA, Ad-Rock, and Mike D-as they tell the tales and set the stage for the creation of classics such as Brass Monkey, Fight for Your Right (to Party), Shake Your Rump, Hey Ladies, Pass the Mic, Jimmy James, So What’cha Want, Benny and the Jets (with Biz Markie), Sure Shot, Sabotage, Intergalactic, and Body Movin’, in their own words. The anthology also includes two CDs with their greatest hits and B-sides, making this this ultimate Beastie Boys collectors item. With photographs taken by Ari Marcopoulos (Pass the Mic: Beastie Boys 1991-1996, powerHouse Books, 2001), Ricky Powell, Glen E. Friedman, and Danny Clinch, as well as director Spike Jonze, Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz, actor Richard Gere, Slim Pickens, Nathanial HörnblowĂ©r, Robin Moore, and Sean Mortenson, to name a few, Beastie Boys Anthology provides the most insightful look to date at the trip that has defined cutting-edge hip hop and alternative music and culture for more than two decades. In 1981, Beastie Boys, then consisting of Adam Yauch (aka MCA) on bass, drummer Kate Schellenbach (later of Luscious Jackson), guitarist John Berry (of Big Fat Love), and Mike Diamond (aka Mike D) on the mic, made their debut at Yauch’s seventeenth birthday party. |

At this time, the band’s sound was similar to that of bands like Genesis and Yes .Success beckons After Battle left, Piercy switched to bass, and John Russell joined on guitar. The group signed to CBS , and released their second album, Laser Love , in 1979, which marked the band’s move towards new wave, with shorter, more catchy pop rock tracks.
